Aurore, designed by Vincent Van Duysen for Mutina, reinterprets the classic 20×20 cm cement tile through a poetic, contemporary language. Inspired by the fleeting chalk markings drawn by children on pavements, Aurore features delicate superimposed lines and tonal shifts that evoke softness, spontaneity, and the passage of time.
The collection is available in three variations — Plain, Grid S (narrow mesh), and Grid L (wide mesh) — each offered in four refined, desaturated colours: Light Blue, Light Green, Light Grey, and Charcoal. These modular elements can be combined tone-on-tone or in contrasting arrangements, making the collection ideal for expressive yet understated compositions.
Produced in glazed, non-rectified porcelain stoneware, Aurore balances materiality with innovation. A special glaze blended with micronised glass-ceramics creates an ultra-matte, soft-touch surface that maintains high slip resistance (R11 / C) while allowing depth and variation in the colour.
Suitable for interior and exterior floors and walls, Aurore performs beautifully in residential and commercial contexts, offering a subtle architectural presence that grows richer with pattern, texture, and light.
