Ki No Bi by Laminam takes its name from the Japanese idea of finding beauty in imperfection and in the natural world, and the collection carries that philosophy across four porcelain slabs. Each surface captures the quiet character of organic materials - the grain, the weathering, the soft shifts of tone you find in nature - in a matte finish that changes gently as the light moves through the day.
The palette is drawn straight from the landscape. Acai is deep and grounding, pulled from dark, rich earth; Enoki is pale and luminous; Kuri sits warm at the heart of the range, bridging the two; and Sugi is soft and muted, evoking the tones of aged cedar. Every slab is made from dry-pressed porcelain in a large 1000 by 3000 mm format, which all but removes grout lines and lets a surface read as one continuous plane.
Ki No Bi is designed exclusively for vertical use, where its restraint does the most work - turning interior walls, exterior facades, and cabinetry into calm, considered statements of craft. Made in Italy with the refinement typical of Laminam, it brings a sense of stillness to both residential and commercial spaces.
