Adagio, designed by Ronan Bouroullec for Mutina, is an architectural exploration of rhythm, gesture, and time — transforming ceramic into a sculptural language. Each module, meticulously crafted in Italy, embodies the interplay between texture, light, and composition, allowing designers to create striking three-dimensional wall installations.
Made through artisanal double-firing in white-body ceramic, Adagio features a distinctive 2.7×30 cm module that, when assembled, forms intricate grid-like reliefs reminiscent of woven fabric. This tactile network can be arranged in closed, open, or freeform compositions, creating seamless continuity or dynamic visual movement.
Available in five glossy colours — Bianco, Grigio, Rosso, Blu, and Verde — and five dual-tone combinations, Adagio offers infinite creative potential. Its reflective glaze and sculptural profile lend elegance and rhythm to both residential and commercial walls, turning surfaces into immersive works of art.
Showcased at the Centre Pompidou, Paris during the 2024 Résonance exhibition, Adagio is more than a tile — it’s a design statement celebrating craftsmanship, geometry, and emotion.
