Mews by Mutina, designed by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, captures the raw, geometric beauty of London’s architectural landscape. Inspired by the city’s historic mews - narrow alleys defined by brick walls, aged textures, and varying light - this collection translates urban rhythm into porcelain surfaces of refined irregularity.
Crafted from glazed homogeneous porcelain stoneware, Mews features a delicate interplay of texture, tone, and geometry. Its surfaces reveal soft variations reminiscent of weathered masonry and wood floors, creating a contemporary yet timeless aesthetic. Each of the nine colours -Chalk, Fog, Pigeon, Lead, Ink, Soot, Green, Light Blue, and Pink - includes more than 15 tonal shades, producing dynamic depth and movement across installations.
Available in modular formats and distinctive chevron shapes, Mews is designed for endless layout possibilities -from classic grids to herringbone and diagonal compositions. Suitable for walls and floors, both indoors and outdoors, this collection balances handcrafted charm with industrial precision.
Winner of the Wallpaper Design Award* and EDIDA Award, Mews redefines architectural ceramics, combining colour, texture, and form into a striking expression of contemporary design.
