Taj Mahal is a natural quartzite from Brazil, cut into large 24 x 48 in (61 x 122 cm) tiles and honed to a soft matte face. Soft taupe and gold veining drifts across its warm white base, over a fine crystalline texture that catches the light up close. From further away, the surface settles into a quiet, tonal pattern.
Honing smooths the stone without polishing it, keeping reflections soft and letting the natural texture come through. A micro-bevel, a slight angle along each edge, softens the lines where the tiles meet. Because every tile is cut from natural stone, colour and veining shift from one to the next, giving each installation its own character.
The large format suits interior floors and walls, including shower floors and walls, where it carries the veining across the space with few interruptions. The honed surface offers good grip underfoot, even when wet. Like all natural stone, it should be sealed before grouting and cleaned with a pH-neutral stone cleaner.
