Tape, designed by Raw Edges for Mutina, is a dynamic porcelain tile collection that layers coloured graphics over two base tiles — White and Black — enabling endless combinations and smooth transitions between patterns. Each 20.5×20.5 cm tile begins with a chalky, lightly textured base that evokes carreaux-ciment, overlaid with one of eight full patterns or their corresponding eight half-patterns, creating smooth blends and modular gradients across large surfaces.
The patterns—Mesh, Cobble, Grainy, Zigzag—are produced in five colourways: White, Blue, Green, Brown, and Black. Raw Edges imagined Tape as “rolls of colourful forms resting on raw tiles,” allowing designers to build soft transitions, bold graphic statements, and playful floor plans throughout the home.
Crafted in glazed porcelain stoneware, Tape is suitable for floors and walls, indoors and outdoors. With five randomly mixed glazing textures, perfectly centred graphics, and the ability to blend half-patterns for gradient effects, Tape offers an expressive yet functional surface for kitchens, bathrooms, hospitality spaces, entryways, and creative commercial interiors.
