Tex by Mutina, designed by Raw Edges (Yael Mer & Shay Alkalay), translates the softness and pattern of woven textiles into the material precision of porcelain. Its rhombus shape and tactile surface reliefs are inspired by the knit-stitch structure of fabrics, transforming ceramic design into a three-dimensional textile experience.
Each tile in the Tex collection combines five different surface textures and three tonal variations per colour, mixed randomly in packaging to create organic variation across floors and walls. The result is a lively, handcrafted aesthetic where no two installations are alike.
Available in eight distinct colours — White, Cream, Grey, Black, Blue, Brown, Olive, and Yellow — Tex captures both subtle minimalism and graphic vibrancy. The Runner modules, composed of 12 pre-mounted rhombi on mesh, simplify the creation of patterned compositions, allowing for linear, double, or free layouts.
Produced from glazed porcelain stoneware, Tex merges artisan tactility with modern durability. Its matte surface and soft texture make it ideal for residential, commercial, and architectural spaces, whether used indoors or outdoors.
Winner of the Interior Innovation Award 2014, Tex exemplifies Mutina’s pursuit of craftsmanship, geometry, and material innovation — where design meets texture in perfect rhythm.
